ICAEW針對學(xué)員不同的學(xué)歷背景給與相應(yīng)的專業(yè)階段的考試。具體來說，Knowledge部分的所有科目、Application部分的Business Strategy 及 Financial Management 科目的考試均有機會被豁免。
　　如果你在以前的理論學(xué)習(xí)或職業(yè)培訓(xùn)中學(xué)到過ACA專業(yè)階段的某一課程，你就可以申請該課程的免試。若申請被批準(zhǔn)，就不用參加該課程的考試。
　　如果你以前已參加過ACA某門課程的考試，則不能申請該門課程的免試。ACA高級階段的考試不能免試。
　　對學(xué)位及其他學(xué)術(shù)資格和其他職業(yè)資格可以有免試，詳情如下：
　　學(xué)位
　　如果取得了學(xué)位或等同的職業(yè)資格，就可以申請Business Management, Business Finance, Commercial and Company Law 等科目的免試。
　　為了核對你的學(xué)位可否獲得免試，請查看List of degree，上面列出了以前獲得過ACA免試的學(xué)位。
　　若想獲得某門課程的免試，你需要對該門課程的學(xué)習(xí)成果出示證明。證明的詳細(xì)資料在Credit for Prior Learning Application Pack - Degree可以看到。
　　注意：
　　若能獲得免試，你的職業(yè)資格必須是7年內(nèi)取得的
　　海外的學(xué)員若取得相當(dāng)于英國學(xué)士學(xué)位的文憑，一般情況下只能申請Business Management 與Business Finance的免試。
　　學(xué)員若想獲得Business Management的免試，必須出示自己在校期間對該門課程的學(xué)習(xí)成績證明，并且
　　1. 該門課的*9次考試成績不低于滿分的55%
　　2. 考試成績與平時成績的比重不低于70：30
　　3. 相關(guān)課程的學(xué)分不少于30分

　　英國職業(yè)資格
　　如果你已經(jīng)是英國其他會計職業(yè)團體的會員或?qū)W員，也可以申請免試。免試情況取決于專業(yè)考試的完成情況。
　　以下英國會計師資格可以有免試：
　　Association of Chartered Cerified Accountants
　　Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
　　Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy
　　Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland & Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland
　　Chartered Institute of Taxation – Members能夠免試專業(yè)階段的課程Taxation
　　 Association of Taxation Technicians - Members 如果通過了 Business 和 Personal Taxation 的考試可以申請專業(yè)階段課程的免試。
　　海外職業(yè)資格免試：
　　其他職業(yè)團體的會員也可以申請專業(yè)階段課程的單獨免試。這些團體包括：

　　如何申請免試：

　　申請免試的最后期限
　　專業(yè)階段六門課程中任何一門的免試申請都會在考試開始前截止。如果已經(jīng)參加了考試，就不能申請免試。
　　建議學(xué)生至少在開考前6周提交免試申請，這樣ICAEW會有充足的時間對免試申請進行評估。

　　關(guān)于工作經(jīng)驗說明：
　　不論有多少工作經(jīng)驗，你都需要與培訓(xùn)合同一起來完成專業(yè)階段、高級階段的考試，才能取得ACA資格。
